TFC’s Tips & Two Cents:
One of the biggest mistakes made when doing a project like a scarf is the length. Always make sure you check your length even if lengths are provided in the pattern (since not everyone is made to be the same height) For beautiful Cowls such as these, we also recommend checking sizing as you are completing your work, so that way you don’t end up with a turtle neck!
If you are hooking up a scarf or a cowl as a gift, you obviously don’t want to size your work with ther person receiving the gift, instead eye up someone of similar size, friend, neighbor, or even the UPS delivery man!
Trust us, the last thing you want to do is have to pull out your entire work because it ends up looking like a scarf for a toddler when it was meant for an adult. We already cringe when we have to pull out one stitch, a whole scarf may make us fall out of our chair.
